Summary

The Amtrak Train Station in Wilson, NC is a national passenger railroad company. Our work consisted of a completely new concrete platform, new concrete walkways around the entire building, and a paver concrete base under all paver walkway areas. We also built light and sign pole foundations, a radius wall between upper and lower areas, and the strong wall truncated dome system.

Tricky to navigate because of the railroad tracks being in full operation during the construction process. We had to become creative and pump concrete overtop a train while in motion. We had all appropriate safety and compliance officers on-site to ensure all safety parameters were adhered to. All M and M Concrete Construction employees became certified in CSX Roadway Worker Protection Training to keep safety a #1 priority.
